These songs consist of a selection of music created for various pieces by the performance collective SHRIMPS which consisted of Pam Casey (choreographer), Steven Nagler, Gail Rodriguez, Martin Kersels, Ryan Hill and Weba Garretson. Various other members came and went.

The music was a collaboration between Mark Wheaton, Steve Stewart and Weba Garretson (who also sang live and in the recordings) with additional vocals by Martin Kersels. You can see SHRIMPS videos on the Catasonic Youtube channel.

In addition to composing for performance art projects, Mark spends most of his time as the recording engineer for the studio Catasonic located in Echo Park California.
