about

music created for the SHRIMPS performance "HACK" in 2005 at LACE Gallery in LA and a performance by Johanna Went at Track 16 Gallery in 2007. The work was originally composed as looping pieces and the versions on this recording are re-arranged to work as complete compositions with endings. I started with drum performances by Jason Payne, and performances by z'ev recorded in my studio Catasonic specifically for the performance event. Jason's drums were for the SHRIMPS 2005 performance, z'ev's for the 2007 Johanna performance. I also used my brother Brock Wheaton"s tracks taken from the Johanna Went EP "Hyena". I then rearranged and looped these performances and added my own electronic parts.
